Karl Goodhand creator of the Bull breed “The NT Sporting Banndogge” has a medium size kennel in the Rural Sector of Darwin in the NT. Although he no longer breed commercially
(council restrictions) he is still improving his lines and improving his hunting dogs through selective breeding practices.

Hamma
Weight: 44 KG Lean

Status: Deceased
Strengths: Hard as a coffin nail, great power, good speed
Profile: Hamma was an F-1 mix of a Neo Mastiff (sire) over a Scott/Johnston Hybrid (Bitch).
He was a Pig wrecking machine, he held the biggest boars with ease. He was an athletic dog and threw more to his mother than his father. Unfortunately he succumbed to an infection in 2005.

Scoozie
Weight: 38 KG Lean
Hunting Style: Ute Finger/Lugger
Status: Deceased
Strengths: Unbelievable nose, good speed, tough, great drive
Profile: She was one of the best dogs I have ever seen! Able to scent of the Ute at any speed her nose was as hot as they come. With exceptional drive and the toughness of any dog she was a champion bitch as was well rounded in any conditions. Unfortunately she lost her life to a Crocodile in 2007. Due to some luck and bravery we recovered her body intact and she now rests at an outstation in Arnhem Land. She is gone but not forgotten.

Blacky
Weight: 35 KG Lean

Strengths: Great speed, good nose, fearless
Profile: Daughter of Hamma and Scoozie, Blacky was a great bitch. Her exceptional speed and great nose often saw her on pigs first taking the brunt of the attack. Her loyalty and temperament was second to none. Unfortunately she passed in 2008 after she took a hit from a boar.

Jeda
Weight: 35 KG Lean
Hunting Style: Finger/Bailer/Biter
Status: Active
Strengths: Great speed, Good smarts, great nose on the ground
Profile: A bloodhound mastiff cross that has a great nose and good speed. Jeda tends to bail on her own but will lug up hard in the company of another dog. Not has hard as the bull breed crosses but a worthy member of the pack. Jeda has been responsible for the demise of many good boars.

Tanner
Weight: 38 KG Lean

Status: Active
Strengths: Hard as a coffin nail, great power, Fearless, Impervious to pain
Profile: The Muscle of the pack! At 38kg lean Tanner will tangle with any size boar you put in front of him! He is not the fastest dog around but he has great power and can blast through deep mud with ease. As you see in Boars of the Far North 1 he started out slowly but now he will hit any boar flat out front on. With a great nose Tanner is a great dog no matter what way you look at him!

Sledge
Weight: 45Kg (still filling out)
Hunting Style: Bailer/Lugger
Status: Started late 2007(Slow starter still getting the hang of things!
Strengths: Big, fast and Agile
Profile: Although he is a slow starter he as excellent speed and can blow away all of my other dogs. He was bred from Tank(Hamma's Litter brother) and a Lucy. He is extremely agile and can rip through the thickest bush at blistering speed. A little shy of humans has made it hard to get him going good but when things finally click I think he will be a boar stopping machine.

Elle

Status: Ready to start 2009
Strengths: Showing good traits, looks to be fast
Profile: A new edition to the pack, bred from similar lines to Scoozie, Elle has huge potential. I am expecting Elle to fill out to around 40kg lean and she is showing the traits that I look for in a hunting dog. Looking for a start in 2009 I am hoping she will be the next star in the pack.
